Events
There's always something going on at APSP, whether you want to attend an event or work behind the scenes. From exciting cultural festivals and celebrations to socials, movie nights, banquets, guest speakers, conferences and more, you’re invited to be part of it all.
Our annual events include:
- Fall Welcome Festival: Each fall, APSP kicks off the new academic year and welcomes new students with music, student organization tables, food, and friendly smiles.
- Lunar New Year Festival: Each winter, students learn the traditions of Lunar New Year. The celebration includes games, student organizations tables, a night market and performances.
- APSP Womxn’s Conference: Through lectures and workshops, we hope to create dialogue that educates and challenges participants’ thoughts and perceptions of AAPI identities, misrepresentations and stereotypes at this one-day event held each year, with a specific focus on AAPI womxn’s issues and experiences.
- Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month: Celebrate the culture, traditions and history of Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders each May. Join us for a month of programs, events and special guests.
- AAPI Graduation Ceremony: We will host our first annual AAPI Graduation Ceremony in May 2024. This annual convocation brings the community together to honor the achievements of our graduating AAPI students as they celebrate and cross the stage. The event features a processional, performances, and keynote speakers. Contact us for more information about signing up.
